3-Ingredient Adrenal Cocktail Recipe
2 oz orange juice
4 oz coconut water
1/4 tsp mineral-rich salt
Optional ingredients: 1 dropperful Advanced Fulvic minerals
                                  1 oz NingXia Red





This cocktail is packed with vitamins and minerals that support your adrenal function and boost your energy levels!

The amount of salt depends on your taste buds — I love the sweet/salty combo so I use a full 1/4 teaspoon. 

👉🏼 I recommend drinking adrenal cocktails between 10 am and 2 pm for best results, because that’s when the adrenal glands tend to slow down.

Here’s my easy recipe:

(I use bovine gelatin powder from Perfect Supplements — code ABBYCHOU gets you 10% off!)

3 c juice or fruit puree
6 T gelatin powder
1-2 T honey (optional)
3-5 drops citrus vitality essential oil (optional)

Pour juice into a medium saucepan. Whisk in gelatin powder, one tablespoon at a time. Heat mixture until just below boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and add honey and citrus oil.

Pour into 8x8 or 9x9 dish. Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Cut into squares and serve. Store in refrigerator.

It’s hard to fathom with all the “advances” in medicine and technology, but it’s true.

We’ve traded acute childhood dis-eases (that actually strengthen a child’s immune system) for chronic childhood conditions. Our parents didn’t really deal with eczema, asthma, autism, or even allergies. What is going on?

Some people are quick to jump to ONE cause or reason for this epidemic, but I tend to think it’s a bunch of little things that add up over time.

The big jump in numbers started in the 80s. There are many factors that play into this situation. A few of these include the ▪️ 80,000+ harsh chemicals allowed on the market without testing ▪️ increasing heavy metal exposure (including from vaxcxines) ▪️ increasing medical interventions and pharmaceuticals ▪️ increasing consumption of processed and fast food ▪️a decreasing exposure to the outdoors, where much of the immune system should be built.

You might tend to think “it’s just a little bit, it won’t hurt” but the reality is the ubiquitous amount of toxins in our food and water supply, our products, our air all add up to an unbearable toxic load. Especially when it comes to our small children.

We MUST begin to lower the toxic load in our childrens’ bodies. There are many ways to do this. Control what you can control, and JUST START SOMEWHERE.

-Drink filtered water.
-Be careful with personal care and cleaning products, as they contain a ridiculous amount of harsh chemicals, fake fragrance, and hormones disruptors.
-Get rid of scented candles.
-Prioritize sleep, sunshine, and dirt exposure.
-Limit or eliminate food dyes.
-Place boundaries on screen time.
-Stop buying frankenfoods.
-Cook at home as much as possible.

We are raising our children to be the next generation of parents. As we learn better, then we DO better, and the cycle of good choices will continue to generations after us.

 

Protect Your Health With Delicious Drinks

You might be living under a rock if you haven’t heard of someone coming down with unexpected heart problems in the last year or two. As always, prevention is priority, so I’ve been studying something called shikimic acid. It’s a plant substance that’s known for reducing platelet aggregation (a fancy name for blood clotting.)  

There are a few foods in the plant kingdom that contain significant levels of shikimic acid, and the best source is STAR ANISE, a seed-type herb that is often used in Chinese cooking.  Star anise contains many medicinal compounds that contribute to its long list of health benefits.  

The Journal of Medical Virology shows that taking shikimic acid  in combination with quercetin, even at low doses, is a potent way to improve innate immune function.

On the topic of quercetin... the second plant food that I’m taking full advantage of right now is NINGXIA RED. It’s a wolfberry-citrus superfruit juice that helps maintain healthy blood cells and cardiovascular function.

One of the ingredients, aronia berries (also known as black chokecherries) are known for their significant amounts of antioxidant compounds, including quercetin. Quercetin, in its natural whole food form, is incredibly effective in moderating the body’s response to inflammation.

We drink an ounce of NingXia Red daily, and have recently started drinking star anise tea once or twice a week — or more as needed.



To make 4 cups of star anise tea:

5-6 star anise pods (organic is best)
1” piece of fresh ginger, sliced
1 T. honey (or more to taste)

Steep star anise and ginger in 32 ounces of hot water for 30 minutes. Strain out solids. Add honey and lemon oil; serve and enjoy hot or cold! Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
